This is who I am

Updated: Jan 4

When I was pregnant with my first child, I thought I had it all figured out. As a Child Health Nurse with experience as a Pediatric Nurse, I had a plan. I envisioned exactly the kind of mother I wanted to be. But then my first son arrived—and he had other plans for me.

It began with an emergency cesarean, followed by breastfeeding challenges and countless sleepless nights. I felt disappointed, mostly in myself, as I struggled to reconcile my expectations with reality.

Twenty-one months later, my second child was born. This time, I was more experienced—not just as a nurse, but as a mother. I made a promise to myself: I would do everything in my power to support families navigating the joys and challenges of raising children.

These experiences profoundly shaped me as a Child and Family Health Nurse. While I had always understood the importance of supporting parents during this transformative time, I now approached it with deeper empathy and confidence. I could truly understand where parents were coming from, and I felt a renewed sense of purpose.

Determined to be the best I could be, I expanded my knowledge. I studied Neonatology and became a certified sleep consultant, driven by a commitment to help families through one of their most common struggles: sleep.

Becoming a parent is both beautiful and challenging. Every child is unique, bringing joy but also new hurdles—especially when it comes to sleep. My mission is to combine my compassion and expertise to support parents through these challenges, helping them navigate this journey together.
